Study Mode
 The DPA is offered on a 4-year part-time basis. Students are required to complete eight POLI courses, two GRSC courses and a thesis in order to graduate. Students can access the syllabuses and regulations of the DPA programme here.

First Year of Study:

January to April
(2nd semester)

Complete taught courses: POLI6603, POLI6604, GRSC6101, GRSC6102

 
Second Year of Study:

September to November
(1st semester)

Complete 2 taught courses: POLI6605, POLI6606

Thesis supervisors assigned to students

January to April
(2nd semester)

Complete 2 taught courses: POLI6607, POLI6608

Confirmation of candidature by 31 August (Probation interview)
Third Year of study:

Work on Thesis POLI9609

 
Fourth Year of study:

1st semester

Work on Thesis POLI9609

 

2nd semester

Submit the Thesis on or before 31 August

Tender notice of intention to submit a thesis for examination at least 3 months prior to the expected date of submission.

 
- Oral examination to be arranged
- Corrections and amendments may be required by Board of Examiners, with or without another oral examination
- Conferment of DPA degree
