HKU PPA Graduate Wins Prestigious APSA Leonard D. White Award

We are proud to announce that Dr. Lin Xu, a 2025 PhD graduate of the Department of Politics and Public Administration at HKU, has been awarded the 2026 Leonard D. White Award from the American Political Science Association (APSA). The award recognises the best doctoral dissertation in public administration, and Dr. Xu is the first recipient from an institution outside the United States in the award’s history.

Dr. Xu completed her PhD in Public Administration under the supervision of Professor Hui Li and Professor Wai-Fung Lam. Her achievement is a testament to the excellence of HKU’s doctoral programme and the dedication of our faculty.
